Wine Headaches

Apparently a researcher at UBC has come up with a yeast that winemakers can add to their winemaking process that reduces the "wine headaches".    The dedicated scientist who came up with this has actually spent 15 years of his life developing and testing this particular strain which is now already being used in some wines that you are now drinking.

Winemakers are keeping mum about whether they are using that particular strain of yeast due to the fear of the general public of "genetically modified" anything,   and if they knew,  would people refuse to drink their wine?

Speaking of which:

Health Canada is about to change the labelling laws so that your average person can read the labels and understand what actually is in packaged foods.   What is that hydrolyzed plant protein in so many of our foods and what exactly is used in making it?  Maybe we will finally find out.

This is an improvement that is a long time coming.
