Just thinking back 17 years ago today when my friend was killed in a Medevac plane crash on their way to an Obstetrical emergency on Haida Gwaii (formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands). I blogged on it last year, in case you missed it. The same exact day, 16 years after the crash, my friend's niece, whom he was very close to - had her baby girl. I blogged about that, too.
I just wanted to mention it.....every year I think of Danny......and now, as salve to a wound - that ominous date has been turned into one with more joy than sorrow. Happy 1st Birthday, Little One!!
But I will never forget him.

And your words help his legacy live on. What a noble soul to have the job that he did, helping other's live their lives.
What a precious gift that sweet little girl must be. It's new life that helps us look to the future with ope.
One day I would like to visit the area where the plaque is. They say it's quite pretty up there.
