The INJURY :( Don't click on this if you can't stomach an injury

This is what my husband's fingers look like today when I did his dressing change just now:





Basically, the resident stitched the nail back on. They say the nails can be saved. Who knows. At least it doesn't hurt as much as it did at the time....but you can imagine the pain....ripping the nails off......... :( Both nails were off, the one without stitches sat back on the nailbed ok, but the other one was flipped inside out so the curve wouldn't allow it to sit down....so they had to stitch it... =^@
